Quebec Skilled Worker Program
The Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) is a provincial immigration program offered by the government of Quebec, Canada. Unlike other provinces, Quebec has its own immigration selection system separate from the federal Express Entry system. The program is designed to select skilled workers who have the ability to become economically established in Quebec.
Points-Based System:
The QSWP operates on a points-based system, where candidates are assessed based on factors such as education, work experience, age, language proficiency (French and English), prior connection to Quebec (through work or study), and other factors.
Expression of Interest (EOI) and Regular Draws:
To apply for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program, candidates need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile to the Quebec government. The profiles are then evaluated, and candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec, or CSQ). Once candidates obtain a CSQ, they can apply for permanent residence with the federal government.

Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program:
It is a specially designed program for workers who want to portray themselves in the province economically. Those who immigrate permanently to Quebec are mostly from International graduates and skilled workers. So, the invited candidates have 60 days to submit their applications. If the application gets selected, the candidates will be offered with Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ or Quebec Selection Certificate) that can be used to get a permanent residence by the Central Federal Government.
Quebec’s immigration program is distinct from Canada’s federal program. Quebec assists the applicants with the different systems who want to immigrate within the province than the applicants who wish to land anywhere within the country.
